IGNOU provides different gold medals to its students for different programmes. For example: – Separate Gold Medal is given for Bachelor of Arts Program and separate Gold Medal is given for Master or Arts Program. And in the same way, a separate Gold Medal is given for the Honors Program. For example: – A separate Gold Medal is given for BA History Honors. And a separate Gold Medal is given for Master of Arts Hindi. In simple words, different Gold Medals are given for all the programs of IGNOU.
How to Become Gold Medalist in IGNOU ?
The students of IGNOU do not know that the award of Gold Medal is also given to the students on behalf of IGNOU. And students can also become Gold Medalist. 1) Complete Your Program in Minimum Duration
To get the Gold Medal from IGNOU, the first criteria is that whatever program you are doing from IGNOU and whatever is the minimum duration of that program, you have to complete that program in its minimum duration.
for example:-
- If you are doing Bachelor of Arts (BAG) program from IGNOU and the minimum duration of this program is 3 years, then you have to complete this program in 3 years only.
- if you are doing Master of Arts History program from IGNOU, then the minimum duration of this program is 2 years, then you will have to complete this program in 2 years only.
The minimum duration of IGNOU’s Bachelor Degree Program is of 3 years and the maximum duration is of 6 years. And also the minimum duration of Master Degree Program is of 2 years and according to the new notice of IGNOU, the maximum duration is of 4 years.
2) Clear your Exam in Single Attempt
To become a Gold Medalist, when you give your exam, you will have to clear your exam in a single attempt. If you give the exam and you come back in the exam or you are not able to clear the exam in Single Attempt, then you can give the exam of that subject again later, but in this case you are not eligible to get the Gold Medal. are considered.
3) Maximum Marks in Program within all Students
Whatever program you are doing from IGNOU and all the students who have been in that program in IGNOU, then you should get the highest number in that program. For example: – Ten thousand students are doing Bachelor or Arts (BAG) program, then you should get the highest marks out of ten thousand students.
4) At least First Division
Whatever program you are doing from IGNOU, you give exam for that program and you get the highest marks, then there will be another Criteria that your 1st division should come in that program. For example: – You are doing Bachelor of Arts History Honors program from IGNOU and ten thousand students are doing this program in All over India and if you get the highest marks then your 1st division should also come in it.
5) IGNOU Gold Medalist Percentage
For Bachelor Degree, 1st Division is considered at 60% Plus. And for the master’s degree the 1st division is considered at 55% plus. In simple words, you not only have to get the maximum marks, but you also have to get the 1st division.
6) No UFM/Cheating/Disciplinary Action/Mistakes in Assignment
If you want to become a Gold Medalist, then you will not be blamed for UFM in the exam. If you cheat in the exam and get caught then you are not eligible to get the Gold Medal. If you cheat in the exam and you also get the highest marks, then you are not given a gold medal.
If disciplinary action is taken against you at the time of examination or if disciplinary action is taken against you in any other way, then even then you are not considered eligible to get the Gold Medal.
