IGNOU To Deliver Courses In Malayalam Through SWAYAM

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will begin testament and confirmation courses in Malayalam too through the SWAYAM stage, the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said today. The courses in Malayalam through SWAYAM looks to stretch out learning freedoms to Malayali talking understudies, incorporating those abroad in their primary language.

The testament and confirmation programs in Malayalam are in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP’s) arrangement for the incorporation of local dialects in the standard educational program from schools to universities.

While declaring this, the Education Minister said: “Glad to impart that in line to the NEP, IGNOU is creating and beginning authentication/recognition level projects in Malayalam through SWAYAM. This will stretch out learning freedoms to Malayali talking understudies, incorporating those abroad in their primary language.”

The technical education regulator, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), earlier last month on July, had also permitted BTech programs in 11 regional languages.These languages are Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi and Odia

The June Term-End Examinations (TEE) 2021 for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), certificate and diploma programmes, are being held from August 3 to September 9.  Exams are being held in two shifts – 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm.
